Delta Gamma, a well-known sorority on the campus of the University of Oklahoma, put on a fundraiser known as Anchorball. AnchorBall is an event hosted by the Delta Gamma members to raise money for their Philanthropy.

AnchorBall is an event hosted each year by the sorority Delta Gamma. They create multiple teams and have them compete in fun dodgeball tournaments. This brought back a fun and youthful day back to campus to help with the stresses of being a college student.

"A dodgeball day helped me to better my mental health. It is important to get outside and get some fresh air." States Rachel Wheeler, a AnchorBall event attendee. "I really enjoyed the opportunity to go to this event even as a member of a different sorority than Delta Gamma.

Delta Gamma's nationwide philanthropy is Service for Sight. Service for Sight aims to provide assistance for those affected with sight problems. According to the official Service for Sight website it states the mission of the philanthropy is to, "support the four schools founded by Delta Gammas for the visually impaired and other North American organizations that promote sight preservation and provide assistance to children and adults who are blind or visually impaired." (Service for Sight).

Littie Connor, a current Junior Delta Gamma member, helped to plan and coordinate the event. Littie Connor worked to incorporate snacks, son cones, beverages, and fun activities. "This event is very near and dear to many of these girl's hearts, as it is one of our last events of the semester."

Many tickets were sold for the event, 354 tickets top be exact as according to member of Delta Gamma's planning committee, Natalie Hanik. These tickets were made available to anyone in search of a fun event to attend for an evening. The event sold about 372 beverages, 201 candy bars, and 297 Sno Cones. These numbers are impressive. There were also other events being hosted on campus as well and Delta Gamma still managed to gather an impressive crowd for their cause.

The tickets sold were done through the members of the sorority. The girls would advocate for their philanthropy and work to sell tickets through social media or in classes on campus. This helped to gather the crowd. The enthusiasm the girls had for the event helped to promote it.

While the event sold many tickets, Rachel Wheeler, an attendee for the sorority's event, spoke about how the event was a major success on campus. "Many of my friends were there from multiple sororities and fraternities. There were also non-greek life affiliated students there as well. It was a fun event and was successful in showing everyone a fun time in a COVID safe environment.

Not only was the event on campus a success, it made way for future upcoming events in a new COVID environment. This event on campus made new strides for incoming freshmen to be able to see life going slowly back to normal. Many students, through bites of snow cones, attested to their happiness to see people gathering on campus again.
